To create your number block puzzle, follow the steps below and click the “Create My Number Block” button when you are done.

Puzzlemaker uses PNG image files which are only viewable in Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers version 4.0 or higher. Go to our Help page if you are having difficulty viewing Puzzlemaker puzzles.

Step 1.
Enter the title for your number block puzzle
The title will appear at the top of your page. IMPORTANT: Puzzle titles are limited to 49 characters.

Step 2.
Enter the size of your number block
Your number block can be as small as 3 x 3 or as large as 10 x 10. The dimensions must equal. Enter a number below

Step 3.
Enter the minimum and maximum values for the numbers in the grid
Specify the range of numbers for the values of the grid. The smaller the range of numbers, the easier the puzzle.

Step 4.
Enter the number of cells that will be blank
The more blank cells, the more difficult the puzzle. On occasion, a puzzle will be generated which reveals equations that are solvable by more than one combination of numbers.
